Our vision is to ignite a lifelong love for learning in young minds through the power of play. We aim to provide accessible and innovative educational resources that empower educators, caregivers and parents to nurture the holistic growth of children, fostering their physical, social, emotional and cognitive development. With Six Bricks, we envision a world where playful learning is at the heart of every child's educational journey.

Jenny Chate and Sandra Lunn are Six Bricks Australia. As expert educators we are driven by a shared passion for education and a belief in the transformative power of play. 

When we first experienced Six Bricks, we quickly saw how six simple LEGO® DUPLO® bricks could be used in powerful ways to support learning.

Six Bricks was created by Care for Education in South Africa as a practical tool to build memory, focus, creativity, and collaboration through play.

We travelled there to complete our training and are now Certified Six Bricks Facilitators, endorsed by Care for Education. Today, we bring this remarkable resource to Australian educators so children can benefit from engaging, meaningful, hands-on learning experiences.

Who’s this course for?

Six Bricks is now being used worldwide in early learning centres, childcare centres, school ready programs, preschools, primary schools, home schooling environments, disability services and corporate settings.

This course is suitable for early childhood educators, primary teachers, developmental educators, home school educators, occupational therapists, parents and corporate trainers.

Six Bricks is an educational approach that emphasises hands-on, experiential learning. Children are encouraged to use the bricks to problem solve and explore concepts like shapes, colours, numbers and patterns through play. Six Bricks activities support various aspects of child development, including cognitive, social, emotional and physical skills.

How to apply Six Bricks

  • 1. Think

    Strengthen memory, focus, and problem solving by copying and repeating brick patterns.

  • 2. Move

    Develop fine motor skills and coordination through stacking, balancing, and timed challenges.

  • 3. Create

    Spark imagination by building simple models, like animals or characters, and telling their stories.

  • 4. Share

    Build teamwork and communication as children take turns adding bricks to a shared creation.

  • 5. Grow

    Support social-emotional learning by building models that represent feelings, places, or experiences.

  • 6. Play

    Re-energise children with quick, fun games like “brick grab” that make learning active and engaging.
